The steel balls are used in yaw and pitch bearing which are used in wind energy.
The steel balls are used in slewing bearing(slewing ring bearing /turntable bearing/slewing ring)which are used in construction machinery,lifting machinery, metallurgical machinery, port machineryand etc.
Excavator
Excavator is usually using internal quenched gear single row four-point contact ball slewing bearing. This type of slewing bearing can bear axial load, radial load and tilting moment and can withstand large impact. Rotation is flexible and stable.
Truck Crane
Truck cranes are usually using large single row four-point contact ball slewing bearing. This type of slewing bearing can bear larger axial load, radial load and tilting moment, enabling crane to lift heavy loads stably and reliably.
Ship Crane
Marine cranes generally use double-row reducer balls, four-point contact balls, and three-row roller internal gear structure turntable bearings. Depending on the load carrying capacity, three-row-roller slewing bearings are commonly used in Heavy-duty cranes, four-point-contact slewing bearings and double-row-tapered-ball slewing bearings are used for light cranes.
Port Crane
Three row roller slewing bearing can bear different loads simultaneously. The capacity load is the largest one comparing with other type slewing bearing. Due to the large axial and radial dimension & solid structure, it is especially suitable for heavy-duty machinery, such as harbor crane,ship crane, etc.
Offshore Cranes
According to different load-bearing capacity requirements, offshore platform cranes usually use four-point contact ball turntables and three-row roller internal gear turntable bearings.
Tunnel Boring
The diameter of the turntable bearings for shield machines ranges from 2.5 meters to 6 meters, and some have larger diameters. These types of bearings work under very harsh conditions. The bearings carry large loads, have strong corrosion resistance, and have a short life.
Ferris Wheel
Ferris wheel usually uses double row ball slewing bearing. There are two rows of rolling element, which can bear larger axial load, radial load and tilting moment. It rotates flexibly and stably with higher safety factor.
Stacker-Reclaimer
The turntable bearings used in stacker and reclaimer usually adopt ball and column joint type, three-row roller type and cross roller type, most of which are more than 3 meters in diameter. Due to the harsh working environment and large dust, this type of bearing has the characteristics of high load capacity, long life and good sealing performance.
