Bearings are also a key type of components in the operation of wind turbine gearboxes, which play the role of fixed-point support. Generally speaking, the bearings can be replaced regularly according to the designed service life and the maintenance cycle of the gearbox to ensure the normal operation of the gearbox. It can also be determined whether the bearing needs to be replaced according to the bearing part and the operating state of the gearbox (such as vibration, temperature, etc.).
Bearing accidents that have occurred many times need to be carefully analyzed, and the causes of bearing failures should be found through various means, and reasonable measures should be proposed to effectively prevent bearing accidents.
The fault analysis of a bearing is a delicate and complex work. A slightly damaged bearing can find out the cause of the damage by analyzing the appearance and degree of wear of the damaged part. If a bearing is seriously damaged or completely damaged due to a sudden accident, the real cause of failure may be covered by the final serious crushing and burnout. Determine the cause of the damage.
Types of surface defects of bearings:
Scratches, cracks, pits, electrical corrosion, scale, rust spots, chatter marks.
Bearing inspection plan:
Level 1 inspection: Use an external light source such as a flashlight to visually inspect the workpiece at a distance of about 50cm, and lightly scratch the scratches and scratches with your hands. If there is no obvious resistance, the bearing is judged to be qualified; examine.
Second-level inspection: check with a ball-point probe, place the probe vertically on the bearing surface, and gently push it by hand. If it can pass through the detected area smoothly, the bearing is judged to be qualified; if there is obvious resistance, it needs to enter the third-level inspection. .
Three-level inspection: use a special instrument (roughness meter) to inspect, issue a report and give a conclusion.
Common bearing failure cases:
1. There are imprints on the circumference of the roller
2. Roller pitting
3. Large area of rust on the bearing
4. The roller has grinding marks
5. Roller end face wear
6. Burr at the chamfer of the roller
7. The bearing has cracks
Bearing maintenance measures:
1. Whether oil lubrication (gearbox part) or grease lubrication (spindle part), it is necessary to ensure that the bearing has clean and sufficient lubrication conditions;
2. Select a reasonable bearing configuration and matching method;
3. Improve the sealing method of the gearbox to prevent dust, moisture, etc. from entering the bearing.
